perKs of being married:

1. Although grocery shopping doubles, I have a husband that carries all of the grocery bags into the house, up the stairs, and into the fridge...even the milk and juice.

2. When I take forever getting ready for bed, I have a husband who patiently lays on my side of the bed making sure it's warm for me when I get there.

3. On days that it snows ridiculously hard and generously, I have a husband who cleans the snow off of the car AND drops me off at the closest possible spot to the building we are going to so I don't have to walk in the wet whiteness.

4. I always have a willing basketball partner who usually lets me win because he knows I'm too competitive.
5. When I fall asleep on the couch while watching netflix, I have a husband who picks me up and carries me to bed.

6.Back and foot rubs are pretty much unlimited.

7. If I leave my favorite green water bottle in the car and it's late and I DO NOT want to go outside into the cold and get it, I have a husband who without a word of complaint puts his coat on and retrieves it.

8. I have a permanent cuddle buddy. PERMANENT.

9. I can have pillow talks with my best friend for as looong as we want.

10. The dating game??? OVER. I love having a for-keeps date.

11. EVERY DAY  I have a husband who tells me he loves me.. no matter how ridiculous I may be that day, he ALWAYS says those sweet words.

Honestly, I could go on and on about how I love being married to my best friend..
but what it all comes down to is marriage is awesome. It's hard and it's a huge adjustment, but it's the best decision you will ever make in your life.
I apologize to all of my single readers who are sick of the M word. I was once one of you loathers of "love." It will pass when you find your perfect.

I also realize not every marriage consists of these things, but I am definitely grateful for mine.. I'm grateful for my wonderful husband who does all of these things. He is everything to me and I love seeing what each day holds for us. God definitely blessed us with each other when we both needed it.

And because I like pictures..here's us, old and new.

Note to all: Marry your best friend. You'll live a happy life.
